Digital sovereignity starts with knowledge.

The freedom and sovereignty of all of us is dependent on a Europe that has control over its own data and destiny.

As a nation and union, we cannot make our own decisions and shape our future, if other countries are able to see what we are doing, to train their AI models on our know-how, experience, and way of living - including our social behaviour.

At a personal level, sharing your personal data can make your everyday life easier in many ways, but it is also important to remember that your personal data is worth protecting, for you, but also at a macro level for the entire nation.

European industry with be outcompeted, outperformed, and hopelessly outdated, if we continue to share our business quotes in tenders, drawings and designs, budgets, patents before they are filed - since all our data is available to third party countries - and not protected within our own borders.

We need to start caring about our future, sovereignty, and the greater good of our society - not only short term profits.

The European Tech Stack is an initiative that calls for action, for organizations and nations to step up, for companies in the technology sector to participate and help make sure the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) provided within the European Union, truly is 100% European and safe to use.

EU Seal of Excellence

Xcerion AB, a corporation from Sweden, is the founding member of the initiative the European Tech Stack, and a proud receiver of the EU Seal of Excellence.

We can't be free until we control the data.

We can't build our entire future around AI, Industry 4.0, Defense Tech, and consumer SaaS on platforms, infrastructure, and services, that we have no control over and that other states have full control over.

It is like handing over a kill switch for not just companies, but entire nations, to a competitor - a competitor in the business world, academia, and political influence. A competitor competing for the same jobs, competing to develop their society, and competing for power.

We need to start the painful job of recreating the foreign cloud computing services we have come to love and depend so much on. We need to reimagine our future and be in control of it.

European law dictates control over data.

There already are laws in place like General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that should protect businesses and citizens of the European Union, but unfortunately, many organizations are still not adhering to the laws. They lack software, infrastructure, and know-how to be able to comply.

As of September 2025 Enforcement Tracker has tracked 2598 fines to an amount of € 6,716,710,518

Failure is not an option, EU is actively fining organizations that are not in compliance. Binding Corporate Rules (BCR) will not save you.

Turning failure into success.

Organizations has the responsibilities to ensure the rights of individuals. This is not always easy with several dependencies on software and data storage from outside of EU.

We are in need of European technology that handles data in compliance with laws and regulations. This needs to be verified and secured at all technical levels and layers. We are therefore committed to creating a new European Ecosystem that represents a new & better tech stack than existing tech stacks, but with the additional benefit of European independence and legal compliance.

This will make it easier to fulfill the responsibilities of all organizations. This will also stop the endless excuses for not being in compliance.

Rebuilding an independent Europe.

We encourage all European developers to leverage the European Tech Stack, and all companies and organizations with the ability and resources to contribute technically and/or financially to help guarantee legal compliance at all levels for data and services.

The aim is to build and adopt a suite of digital infrastructures: from development tools to cloud computing, AI and digital platforms independent of forces outside the EU. Do you have a service that can complement and work with the tech stack, then please let us know!

Drop us a line at hello@europeantechstack.eu for further dialogue.
